Gifts come in all sizes!

First of all was my friend (and landlord) Sarah's baby shower!!!
I love baby showers, I love the fun little games and spoiling the mom to be.
I wanted to do something special, I like making themed presents.
So I got together with my fabulous friend Christina and we made a diaper cake!
I think he turned out pretty cute!
We aren't the craftiest girls, and the little wheels weren't exactly "round",
but I think Sarah liked him!

For our anniversary (August 15th) Spencer had to work in
Augusta, GA and I couldn't go.  I said good bye that morning and
figured I'd see him the next day.
But then he came home and surprised me with Krispy Kreme Donuts
and flowers!!! I am pretty sure I married the best guy ever!

One of my friends in Pullman and I decided to send each other gifts each month.
I had seen this idea on pinterest- mailing things in a water bottle.
In South Carolina there are a few days where certain items are tax free. August, because of school,
all school supplies are tax free! That means house hold stuff, furniture, school supplies, clothes etc.
People go CRAZY!!!
So this bottle was filled with tax free school supplies! I also may have this thing about buying
school supplies- it's very nostalgic I think.

These were really fun projects and I loved making them!!!

Columbia, SC Temple

I think we will always live a ways from a temple.
Pullman- 1.5 hours
Longview- 1 hour
Spartanburg- 1.5 hours
But we still had to go see it for ourselves!
I was surprised when I saw the temple, it looks exactly like Pullman!
It was like we were home again.

We got there for the last session that day. And who knew it was
in Spanish?! I was pretty nervous/excited to hear the session in a different language.

But then there were only a few people that requested Spanish, so they
put subtitles on the little screen and the session was in English.
But I still watched the subtitles while listening in English, it held my attention.

Glad we have a temple "close" by! And we might try to go back for a Spanish session again!

Unpacking!

I loved the fact that somebody else packed all our stuff and unpacked some of it too.
But WOW! Do they use a lot of packing paper!!! It was like raking leaves in the fall!

First Week in Our New House!!!

After living in the hotel for a few weeks, Spencer a few months.
Not that the hotel was super bad- pool, free breakfast, eating out, someone else
made the bed, super comfy pillows etc...but we were sooo excited to have our
own space!!!!
That did come with some wrenches. All of our stuff was on it's
way across the country and wouldn't be there for about a week and our new fridge was coming the day after.
So we improvised!
We call this our "WSU Cougar" bed. Cheap target sheets, fleece blanket,
and a brand new air mattress!!
Because we didn't have a fridge yet, we had to be creative with food.
Thank goodness the house had a microwave! So this is what we ate the first week!
YAY Mac n Cheese!!!

We were very excited when the moving van showed up with all of our stuff! Our bed was the
first thing we set up and it was like sleeping in heaven!

I was also excited to see my clothes and my shoes that I hadn't seen for 2 months!!!
