That Was Totally WICKED!!!

AAAHHH!!! I can't believe how awful I am at this blog thing!
Ok, so in March (31st) Spencer and I finally got  to use my WICKED tickets
that were so patiently pinned on my board in the kitchen.
Can I say I love Portland?!!
We started with having lunch at Old Spaghetti Factory.
Here's the view from our table!!!

And here's the view from across the table! :)
We do enjoy our food!

I was trying really hard not to look like a tourist but when I saw the
sign I had to take a picture.
Oh and I had to find a random person to take our picture in front of the
theatre- to prove we were there!!! CUZ ITS WICKED!!!!
And there were strict signs about not having cameras in the theatre,
but I was so excited!!! So, I just didn't use the flash.
I can't describe how amazing the musical was! The stage was amazing and so intricate and so mechanical! It was so smooth! And the music...wow!  I can't believe I've never been to a Broadway musical!  I sat on the edge of my seat the whole time (and it was easier to see that way too). Although, we did have pretty good seats.  We were in a side thing, so there were only about 8 people total, kinda nice not to have to move around tons of people!  I wanted to start listening to the  soundtrack as soon as we got back in the car, but for some reason it just wasn't the same.

My Family Vacation (At Home)

The same time I was thoroughly enjoying Wicked, my family was traveling to see me!
My Grandparents, Parents, Kyris and girls, Shannon and Sandi.  The ride was pretty long for them,
but I think it went ok.  They were glad to get here, that's for sure!
I had a special surprise for my nieces and they saw it in the garage before I could do anything lol.
they asked who's Jeep was it? They were so excited to find out it was for them!!

Unfortunately it was raining....so they couldn't go outside that night and
could only pretend to ride in it.

The next day however, it was the first thing they wanted to do!! Kassity was not
so excited about it once it started to move, and I don't think Brooklyn minded that she didn't have to share!

Dandelions!! Who knew they could be so much fun?

They loved the air mattress! And my grandparents found it comfortable,
after having to get up a few times in the middle of the night to pump it back up!
I will never forget the first night, I could hear them laughing in the room next to us because neither one could
get up out of bed, but they had to get up.

Such a priceless picture, Grandma and Kassity playing the piano.
I think they both loved it!

GO VANDALS!!!!

And Braves apparently...(she found it among Spencer's hats)

And in the background are my mom and dad exercising,
my long hallway came in handy!!

And then of course we had to get out the Minnie Mouse ears to match
the Minnie Mouse Pajamas!!! (and they matched the monkey pajamas too)

I love my nieces! I promise to show the rest of the family throughout the remainder postings to
show they were actually on the trip, but these two are just so cute!!!

Go Cougs!

I miss Pullman!
So when Spencer's job took him to Pullman the last week of February
you can bet that I jumped onto that train!
Pullman was such a blast!
I was bummed that I didn't get to hang out with everyone that I wanted,
but tried to make the most out of our short trip.
And apparently we were having too much fun that I didn't take any pictures!
We spent a few days sleeping at Nayt and Jamie's (thanks again!)
Because Spencer was there for work (lame), I pretty much did whatever during the day.
And I went over to Moscow one day to have my hair done (Mr. Leon's is still the only school I trust)
and see my old boss, advisors, friends, etc.
Relaxed with Courtney and Mason - such a cutie!
And of course Ashley, Laura, Jamie, and a bunch of other girls at a Girls' Night.
Had lunch with some old coworkers and bosses.
Had game nights, etc
Pretty much a very relaxing for me!
But I think Spencer would say the best part was the WSU vs UW game
And whadya know? It's the only thing I took pictures of!
Can't you just see the excitement on his face?!
He was so proud of his Cougars!
Notice Spencer's face has changed just a little...
Cougs didn't do as well as hoped.
I guess I should have had someone take our picture
BEFORE the game, not after.
But- he was still in awe of the awesome renovations and
the new scoreboards and screens!!

I will admit it was really hard to get back in the car and head west
Pullman/Moscow will always be home to me!

Valentines Day is this weekend!!!!

What? Valentines Day was last month? Yea...maybe.
I was thinking about Vday today because my present is finally coming this weekend
and I'm SO EXCITED!!!!
But before I divulge that little secret...
This year I wanted to do something special for Spencer
He went all out on Christmas, so I had to show him
that I loved him just as much!
YAY for Pinterest and amazing ideas from friends!
I put together 14 days of small vday gifts to lead up to Valentines.
I loved hiding the gifts each day and waiting for Spencer to find them.
None of the gifts were super expensive (chapstick, bubbles, fruit pie, etc)
and each had a little saying - pretty cheesy actually.
But I loved making the cards!

I think the best part was that Spencer has now put all
the cards on a string and hung them in the "Man Cave"
I decided that made me important
I mean, he put my stuff right up there with old
sonics posters and Michael Jordan!

The last gift was a Pictionary card game,
"It's no game, I can't picture anyone but you for my Valentine!"
It took forever to convince him that he needed to go get the dirty laundry
from his bathroom so he'd find the present!
One of the days I was suppose to make a pie, and I may or may not
have decided to go to the day old store and get a cutie pie instead.
So to make up for it, I made a strawberry rhubarb pie for Vday dinner.

Spencer's mom gave us matching Mickey and Minnie Mouse place settings, so
of course I had to use them for our special dinner!!

Baked stuffed porkchops and spaghetti squash with
pasta salad.  The porkchops were so easy and sooooo delicious!

Alright the moment you've all been waiting for....
The weekend before Valentines', Spencer couldn't handle
the fact that I was doing something for him every day, so instead of waiting, he
sent me on my own treasure hunt! Each place had a piece of the puzzle.
I can't say his clues were super amazing and I might have given up and just started
searching the house for square pieces of paper.
But I finally found them all!
Can you guess where we're going Saturday?
You guessed it!!!
WICKED!!!!
He bought tickets to the musical!
WOOOO!!!!!
I am so beyond excited!!!!

Sleep Talker

At our house Spencer tends to fall asleep way before me so I usually lay in bed for hours playing on my ipad or whatever and if I'm really bored I can get him to talk to me and say some pretty funny yet slightly coherent things. and by morning I usually have forgotten all the funny things he says so tonight, since i'm up anyway i should document

Last night....
Me: what are you getting me for my birthday?
spencer: i don't know but something
Few minutes later...
Spencer: wait! You were trying to get that out of me while I was sleeping! that was a dirty trick! I can't believe it took me this long to figure out what you were up to!

Tonight...
Me: i love you
Him: you do?! Thats good
Me: isn't there something you'd like to say?
Spencer: have a good night
Me: umm no, it starts with a i and ends with a you
Spencer: i clean up, thank you!
