I love Friday nights. We put Z to bed and watch a movie. Tonight we watched RED- hilarious. During the movie my phone rang- person asking for a Diane. I politely responded wrong number. Back to movie. A few minutes later the phone rings again. Spencer gets up hits the end button since it was the same lady. Movie ends and we head upstairs to bed. Phone rings again so I run down the stairs to go get it. By running down the stairs, I missed the last step and landed on my back pockets and my foot. And BONES moved in my foot! I'm not one to be a drama queen or make pain worse than it is, but when bones move I freak. It hurt so bad!
So we called an amazing friend and dropped Z off around midnight (AMAZING FRIEND) and headed to the ER. Which is located conveniently a street over.
After hanging out at the ER for over an hour it was concluded that it was just a sprain (yay for no broken bones!) and that I could go home.
I have now rethought the perks to having a split level home- stairs are not okay!
Things to remember the night by:
1. We have not lost our spontaneity to have dates at odd hours
2. Other people in the ER can be nice- they share chocolate chip cookies if you share your Booboo butterfly
3. Really small adult crutches do fit me and I didn't need the child size
4. We have an amazing daughter that is okay to be snapped out of bed at night and goes with the flow.
5. Hopping on one foot is a lot easier than using crutches
6. Who knew sore armpits/arms (from said cruthes) would hinder typing?
7. Dear 208 number- Third times the charm didn't work for you, still no Diane. But I do have an ER bill that I could send you next time you call! :)
